This research article focuses on the results of four rounds of mass drug administration (MDA) for cross-border districts of Côte d’Ivoire where lymphatic filariasis (LF) is endemic. Post-MDA, Wuchereria bancrofti, the parasitic worm that causes LF, circulating filarial antigen (CFA) was identified using filariasis test strips. Researchers found substantial decline in W. bancrofti infection indices. However, additional tests should be implemented before MDA cessation.
