Progress towards eliminating onchocerciasis in the WHO region of the Americas: verification by WHO of elimination of transmission in Colombia
Contains a report from the 22nd annual InterAmerican Conference on Onchocerciasis (IACO 2012), held in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico in October 2012. Colombia is the first country in the world to be verified free of onchocerciasis by WHO. (WHO, 2013)
